So the Vespa is running like a top, so what’s the first thing you do when it’s all good…?\u00a0 You mess with it!<\/p>\n

So this day gets a Sito Plus exhaust.\u00a0 This was a semi easy install.\u00a0 The fit was about 1\/4″ off though so I really had to push and pull on the bike to get it to bolt directly in.\u00a0 Word to the wise, Have two people around when doing this.\u00a0 I pulled the bike right down on top of myself while I was laying on the ground…CRASH.\u00a0 Right on top of me and off the jack and jack stands I used to prop the bike up.\u00a0 Luckily my 15 yr old son, Killian, was there to save my ass!\u00a0 YAY!<\/p>\n

So below is the stock exhaust next to the Sito Plus.\u00a0 You will notice the size difference..you will loose a little ground clearance, but not enough to really worry about unless you’re a track racer..and in that case you wouldn’t run this pipe anyhow.<\/p>\n

After bolting up this pipe – it’s recommended to up your main jet size on your stock carb.\u00a0 I’m running a stock 24\/24.\u00a0 Just for the record, the following is STOCK:<\/p>\n

venturi size: 24 mm
\nmain jet: 116<\/strong>\/100
\nslow running jet: 160\/100
\nthrottle valve: 8492.4
\nmixer tube: BE 3
\natomiser: 300\/100
\nstarter jet: 60\/100<\/p>\n

You should only have to swap out the 116 main Jet.\u00a0 Recommended to go to 118.\u00a0 Some people jump to a 120 and this might help too as it should run a little more rich on the top end.\u00a0 Keep an eye on your spark plug…black is too rich, white is too lean (Lean when smaller, rich when higher number).\u00a0 Most people I know running a 120 main jet do so with no air filter and no carb box top.\u00a0 I went to a 118 and it runs just fine but time will tell how it breaks in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
