I’m not totally sure why I never created a clothing/fashion section…mostly because I’ve never liked talking about it myself. I guess that doesn’t mean everyone feels the same way…but I gotta pimp the SF Ben Sherman store for a moment.

This place was amazing. The staff was cool as hell…not a bunch of hipster do-gooders …just real people that aren’t there working on commission and are the most helpful clothing store employees I found in the entire city.

I was in SF the entire week for a conference at work and I’m not much of a shopper. I hate dealing with people and pressure sales so much to my surprise, Ben Sherman was like walking into a friends house or something. Finally it seems BS has brought back a lot of the styles that made them popular. I went to a shop a few years ago and their style was MORE than lacking. Not much so any-more. All the ginghams and polo’s were very close to yesteryears style (with a few minor changes). The sizes were a plus for sure. I went in wearing a 20+ yr old Ben Sherman button up that was size 2x. It’s ALWAYS been small and tight on me. I tried on the new style in 2x and MUCH better. Very happy….and to make things better .. 50% off! So the $80 shirts were all $40..sweaters..same…They had a load of Harrington’s that were 50% (normal $120-140) and even had some sweet Madness Harrington’s.

I stepped to the back to check out the suits…tried like 5 on and all of them were superb. I was so impressed with the fit and finish. To top it off the dudes in the store were honest and very helpful whether I was buying or just playing around trying on $500+ dollar suits! haha So I said hell yeah!!! and bought one too. Not only that, but they recommended a stellar tailor (Cable Car Tailors) and I was down at the tailor shop in 5 mins adding a few finishing mod style touches to a near perfect vintage style suit.

So yeah, they are kind of expensive from what most working class mobs would probably want to spend. But I gotta tell ya..it’s worth saving up those duckets and picking up something from this place…even if it’s just one at a time, you won’t be sorry.

Yeah, ignore my tennis shoes…it was moments later I found some Sherman shoes around the corner ..
