What a week it’s been! From birthday celebrations to impromptu dining adventures and quality family time, it seems like the universe had a little something special in store for us.

The week kicked off with a joyous double celebration. Jasamine’s birthday brought us together for an unforgettable dinner at Memories of Japan. If you haven’t been there, let me tell you, their sushi is simply out of this world. Between the expertly crafted rolls and the lively conversation, it was the perfect way to mark another year of Jasamine’s life. The conversation and good times flowed as smoothly as the soy sauce!

Fast forward to Friday, and we were in the mood for some hearty American fare. We had set our sights on Texas Roadhouse in Owasso for some classic steaks, but alas, our timing was less than perfect with a wait of 1.5 to 2 hours for a table. Not to be deterred, we decided to check out Logan’s Roadhouse just down the road. What a lucky break! We walked right in and enjoyed a steak that was just as great, if not better, than what we had hoped for. Sometimes, a change in plans can lead to even better outcomes!

Thursday brought a delightful change of pace as I had the pleasure of babysitting my son Killian’s little ones. Lexi and Addie were absolute stars, and we had a blast together. The highlight of the day? Definitely the impromptu photo sessions with Addie. She quickly developed a love for having her picture taken, and I couldn’t resist snapping a few extra shots of her radiant smile. We spent our time putting together puzzles, playing with toys, and immersing ourselves in the world of Nintendo Switch. And let’s not forget the Spiderman marathons! We watched so many episodes of the web-slinger’s adventures that I lost count. It’s safe to say that Spiderman made quite an impression.

As the week draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on the joy of celebrating with family, the unexpected pleasures of a good sushi and steak, and the pure delight of spending time with the grandkids. It’s these moments of connection and fun that make life truly special. Here’s to many more weeks filled with love, laughter, and perhaps a few more Spiderman marathons!
