Chronicles of a wedding…

Yep – It’s that time. I’m heading to Las Vegas in the morning to get married. Crazy that I have all the jitters of a little boy asking a girl for his first kiss. Lisa and I have been together for over 12 years and just never made things official until now. I should be totally over the jitters but nope…i’m not. Neither is she…and she’s glowing all over the place too! haha

It really does make me feel good to see her so happy. We will have a blast in Vegas and I’ll try to get back here and update things as we go. This way I don’t spam the hell out of facebook friends that could care less…yet I still get to be the dorky ass nerd that I am and talk to no one by myself here…like writing my own diary.

Look forward to more, but right now I’m going to go pack for the weekend!! Wishing us luck!! ta-ta

Cisco Linksys WAP610N Unauthenticated Root Console

A serious remote access vulnerability in Cisco’s Linksys WAP610N wireless access points has been disclosed on the Full Disclosure mailing list and a well known exploits database web site. By using telnet to connect to a specific port on the access point, an attacker can gain unauthenticated root access. The disclosure also reveals the default root password of the router having been cracked from the shadow password file and being far too short and simple. This password is not the same as the default admin password used for the administrative web page. This inexpensive access point is commonly used in small office home office, SOHO, environments but may also be present in some larger enterprises. The discloser claims to have notified the vendor in June of 2010 and goes on to state there is no patch for this currently available. At the time of disclosure, the latest firmware available from the Cisco site was version 1.0.01 (build 94) released on 02/22/2010. Owners of these routers are strongly urged to block all traffic to this router on TCP port 1111, block access to management web pages from remote locations, make sure all passwords are changed to strong, secure passwords and to update to the latest firmware as soon as it becomes available from the vendor.

Bye Snow, hello morons.

Well, I knew it had to be a sign of something. I wasn’t quiet sure until today. I too, fell on the bandwagon of being happy to see warmer weather, but honestly…I’m not. Actually, when dressed in layers and proper like – I was never really that cold. It was pretty nice! So what has me complaining today?

Tulsa gets snow

Just over 13″ today, it’s pretty crazy and has already broken the all time record for the state!

Check out my new racing fin for the top of my Dodge…courtesy of Mother nature!

This is my Jeep – about 40 mins after it was totally cleared off from driving around town!

So I went out and helped the Medical community today. Followed and pulled out ambulances and drove a doctor to Saint Francis emergency room. It was very fullfilling…until you factor in all the morons that I had to stop and help. They shouldn’t have even been on the roads in their Dodge Neon’s and mini-vans. What the hell are these people thinking? Snow drifts at 4+ feet..un-touched main roads, highways you can’t even see. I could go on and on….and I will shortly, I just need a break.

I HATE DESKTOP SUPPORT!!

Have I mentioned before how much I hate working on broken PC’s? No? HA..let me tell you! My wife brings home virus ridden computers from her co-workers all the time. I keep telling her that I do network security…all she hears is “computer stuff”.

Last night I spent 5+ hours trying to clear the fake a/v trojan for Microsoft Security Essentials!! This one was beyond hell..it’s now MUCH smarter. Continue reading
